Insensys was founded in 2002 to develop high performance, low cost, fibre optic load measurement technology. Our focus has been on opportunities where the fibre optic technology delivers substantial technical and commercial benefits over conventional technologies. This led to the development of 3 business units specialising in Oil & Gas, Wind Energy and Aerospace. Each has become the World leader in their field. In May 2007 Insensys Oil & Gas was acquired by the Oil services giant Schlumberger.

Insensys Wind Energy has become the world's premier Wind Energy rotor and blade load measurement company.

We supply technology and services to over 75% of the world's major wind turbine manufacturers and to many leading wind farm owners and operators.  We have sold over 15,000 sensors, and associated sensing technology, into the wind industry, in the last 2 years alone.

Our objective is to deliver defect-free, reliable products on time, every time, and we constantly seek to deliver improved performance, at reduced cost, to our customers.  Early in 2008 Insensys gained accreditation to ISO 9001:2000, ensuring the quality and performance of our products and services.

Insensys will continue to develop its product platforms and data analysis packages to ensure that the measurement requirements of next generation wind turbine structures are met and that we remain at the forefront of sensor technology.  We will continue to support our global customer base whilst maintaining high levels of performance, reliability and support for our customers.

Insensys is a proud member of the European Wind Energy Association and takes an active role in promoting renewable energy and providing technology and support to a range of major Wind Turbine manufacturers.
