Insensys was founded in September 2002 to develop high performance, low cost, fibre optic strain measurement technology. Its focus has been on opportunities where  the technology delivers substantial benefit over conventional technologies. As a result, Insensys has developed opportunities in the Wind Energy, Aerospace and Oil and Gas industries.

We are committed to maintaining our position at the forefront of fibre optic sensing technology by continually developing systems that deliver improved performance and reliability at reduced cost to our customers.  We are dedicated to continuous improvement and strive to anticipate, meet and exceed our customers' expectations. Our objective is to deliver defect free, reliable products on time, every time.

Insensys will continue to develop its product platforms and data analysis packages to ensure that the load measurement requirements of next generation structures are met and that we remain at the forefront of load sensor technology.  We will continue to support our global customer base whilst maintaining our high levels of performance, reliability and support for our customers.

The Insensys Oil and Gas business was acquired by Schlumberger in 2007.
