Insensys (Intelligent Sensing Systems) is a privately owned global leading supplier of fibre optic measurement systems. We supply strain measurement systems to many leading Wind Turbine manufacturers, as well as customising core technology for applications in Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Marine and other markets. Insensys is based in Fareham, employing approximately 50 people. We design and manufacture on site, and deliver systems to our customers in Europe, Asia and the US. Our company has grown rapidly in the past 18 months and continues to expand in all areas. Monday – Friday 08.30 – 17.30

40 hours, permanent contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to writing technical quality documentation e.g. PPAP, PFMA in accordance with the Quality Management System
  • Performing internal process audits, compliance audits & external customer audits
  • Collating and presenting KPI quality data identifying quality trends, risks & non conformances
  • Using a structured approach to problem solving in order to identify root cause and recommend countermeasure and corrective actions.
  • Maintain & monitor internal & external quality (customer returns) using a CAPA & 8D processes
  • Lead and educate cross functional teams in structured problem solving
  • Identify, quantify & propose product & process improvements

  • Prepare technical reports for both internal & external communication

Qualifications and experience:

  • Audit Qualification (required)
  • ISO9001 and/or ISO45001 experience
  • Formal Engineering or Quality qualification, minimum HND (required)
  • Basic Electronic knowledge
  • Green belt or higher lean qualification (desirable)
  • Must have a desire to learn and understand our company products to a level of technical detail and appreciate the customer applications and how they influence integration and deployment of our products
  • Fully computer literate and enjoy communicating, report writing and summarising data to present to the team using Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience applying tools in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to take the initiative and make sound judgements related to quality
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Ensuring that any PPE issued or made available for use is used, maintained correctly and any loss or damage is minimised.

Immediately reporting any unsafe or potentially unsafe acts or conditions to your Supervisor or any member of the Management Team.

Actively reporting any errors, omissions or potential improvements identified in the Health and Safety Management System and the associated controls or processes.

Comply with all Client QHSE controls, processes and other requirements on Client work sites.
