Sustainability is embedded within our business, our technology, and our vision for the future. As a leader in fibre optic sensing, Insensys develops solutions that help optimise renewable energy generation, improve asset performance, and support the transition to a lower-carbon economy.
Our technology helps wind farm operators maximise turbine efficiency, extend asset lifespan, and reduce unnecessary maintenance, supporting a more sustainable and resilient renewable energy sector. Alongside the products we deliver, we are committed to reducing our own environmental footprint through responsible business practices, operational improvements, and long-term climate action.
Measureable Progress
We continued to improve resource efficiency and environmental performance across our operations.
- 98% recycling rate for applicable materials
- 100% transitioning all operational sites to renewable electricity and certified green gas supplies from 2026
- 23.9% energy consumption reduction through energy efficient measures
Science-Based Targets (SBTi)
Insensys is committed to taking meaningful climate action by aligning its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction strategy with science-based targets. In line with global efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C, the company has set an ambitious near-term target to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions by 58.8% by 2034, using 2023 as the base year. In addition, Insensys is actively working to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions across the value chain.
This commitment is framed within the Operational Control approach to defining organisational boundaries, ensuring that all GHG emissions from operations over which Insensys has full authority are accurately accounted for.
